AMD’s CES 2025 keynote is almost upon us and rumors are spreading about new graphics cards, CPUs and more. The company regularly uses CES to promote upcoming chips and this year should be no different. To that end, the organization has introduced AI-centric Ryzen 8000G desktop chips.

Rumors have been flying for weeks about AMD’s CES 2025 announcements. It’s a safe bet that the company will unveil its new RX 9070 XT cards. This is likely based on the new RDNA 4 architecture and should serve as a great mid-range GPU option.

It is also possible that AMD will finally announce the long-awaited version. The company usually sticks to laptop components during CES, but it will break with tradition to unveil these desktop chips.

There have been rumors that the company will also launch a Strix Halo mobile chip. This one is expected to bring 40 computer GPUs to a single die next to the CPU. This can translate to smaller and lighter laptops, without sacrificing power. Finally, some people have been reporting that AMD could be the direct follow-up to the Ryzen Z1 Extreme. The Z1 Extreme currently powers the likes of the Asus ROG Ally X and the Lenovo Legion Go.

You can watch the AMD CES press conference as it happened below. The feed will begin on Monday, January 6th at 2PM ET.

Other companies holding their own CES press events include Intel, Sony and Samsung.
