Samsung is the 800-pound gorilla of CES, a global electronics giant that produces mobile devices, TVs and home theater products and kitchen appliances – to name a few. It’s traditionally used by CES to remind the world that it’s a major competitor in all of those arenas, while offering a behind-the-scenes look at some of its cutting-edge technology, too.
In 2024, for example, Samsung’s CES press conference included all the usual updates that are repeated – new TVs, new projectors, new soundbars – but also gave some real future products and previews. And while we won’t be seeing transparent MicroLED screens at your local Best Buy anytime soon, you can already buy the music frame speaker that debuted at CES 2024. But Ballie’s robot, a two-time CES veteran, is that. we really hope it makes a comeback — hopefully there’s a real-world release date this time.
What to expect from the Samsung CES 2025 press conference
Or maybe Ballie will take over this time. That would better fit the theme of “AI for All: Every Day, Everywhere” that the company announced it will launch in Las Vegas. The Korea-based giant has posted weeks worth of early CES announcements to its online newsroom, talking about AI-enhanced refrigerators and appliances with built-in screens. But there are non-AI things, too: Samsung has announced a 27-inch QD-OLED sports monitor, and the company is collaborating with Google (!) on Dolby Atmos and DTS.
One thing you shouldn’t expect to see in Vegas: The rumored Galaxy S25 smartphone line. If it follows its recent planning, Samsung will probably present the unveiling in the second half of January, when it will have a technical news platform. (Last year it was a January 17 event, which was announced on January 11.)
