Vivek Ramaswamy warns the GOP could be ‘surprised’ unless they answer who they are

Republicans say they believe in God, family, and country – bringing self-government and the ideals of the 1776 revolution to 2024. But former president Vivek Ramaswamy has shared a dirty little secret about those beliefs that he says the mainstream media won’t tell you.

“It’s not just Republicans who share those views. The majority of Americans do,” Ramaswamy said in his new Fox Nation roundtable series that examines the “truths” behind some of the biggest issues facing Americans.

“I traveled to this country to run for president last year, and if I learned one thing, it is that we are not really as different as the media would have you believe. It turns out that 80% of us in this country share the same values. This is something they are afraid to talk about openly.”

The multi-part series “Truths with Vivek Ramaswamy,” airs in condensed format on Fox News Channel at 10 pm Eastern on Sunday, and speaking on the Fox Nation stage the same day.

There, a Trump ally and a prominent businessman asked a tough question about the expected red wave that turned into chaos in 2022 — could Republican laziness be to blame?

He made a similarly bold prediction for 2024: unless the GOP changes its game, this election could have the same outcome.

“We insulted the Democrats, but without giving anyone our opinion,” he said.

“I’m worried we’re going to be surprised by November unless we get that sorted out now…”

“We are not arguing with a candidate here, we are dealing with a machine, we cannot win this by confusing ourselves with the scams of the other party. We will overcome this by answering who we are and what we really stand for.”

Ramaswamy also appeared on “Fox & Friends Weekend,” Sunday, where he previewed the series and his new accompanying book, “Truths,” in an interview with his partner Pete Hegseth.

“The way we find our true path is through free speech and open debate, including those who disagree with us,” he said.

“So the purpose of this book is to arm people at home with arguments, to talk to their left-leaning friends, their left-leaning family members at the dinner table.”
