Trump declares New York serious about playing with illegal immigration: ‘We think we can’

Former President Trump joined “One Nation” host Brian Kilmeade on Fox News Channel for an exclusive interview during a day of campaign stops Wednesday in New York, including a rally on Long Island.

The former president shared during the interview that he believes deep blue New York could be played in November due to increased concerns about illegal immigration.

“But most importantly, and immediately, we’re going to close our border because we have millions and millions of people pouring out of jails and prisons and mental institutions and terrorists, and we’re not going to stand for it,” Trump said. he told Kilmeade.

“We want to win New York again. We think we can because of what happened with the immigration problem,” Trump said. “Everybody comes to New York, people who have just come out of prisons in the Congo and the Middle East and many other places, and people in New York.”

In 2020, Donald Trump received 37.8% of the vote in New York State, according to the New York State Board of Elections.

“Look, I left here and it was a very good place. Now it’s a place full of people who shouldn’t be in our country, very dangerous people.

The Republican presidential nominee, originally from New York, now lives in Florida and aims to vote in the Sunshine State in November.

“You see what’s happening in other states. It’s not just New York, but you look at what’s happening when Venezuelans take over Colorado with guns, because even our military doesn’t have them, guns and rifles,” Trump said.

The Venezuela-based gang Tren de Aragua made national news this month after photos circulated showing armed men in an Aurora, Colorado, building. Many have not been arrested in connection with this group of illegal immigrants.

“So, no, we’ve got to turn it around. We’re going to turn it around quickly. We’ve got to deport all these criminals that have been brought in, and we’re going to do it,” Trump said.
