Tim Tebow and Demi-Leigh Tebow Relationship Timeline
Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow he got a big hold on his wife, Demi-Leigh Tebow.
Tim and Demi-Leigh met in 2018 at an event in South Africa for her non-profit organization and got engaged six months later.
“[Being engaged] it’s amazing. It’s amazing and we’re blessed,” Tim said to himself Us Weekly in February 2019. “We are very aligned on what is most important to us and we understand each other very well. You are so incredibly special … I can’t even put it into words.”
Tim and Demi-Leigh, a former Miss Universe from South Africa, had to overcome the language barrier when they started dating.
“His first language is Afrikaans, not English. I was like, ‘Goodbye? … I don’t know if I’ll ever see you again!’” he said Us in August 2024 after finishing one conversation with the word, “Keep well.”
Demi-Leigh added that “loving in a second language is different.”
After overcoming the language barrier, Tim and Demi-Leigh tied the knot in January 2020. Five years later, they announced that they were expecting their first child.

July 2018
Demi-Leigh and her sister, who had cerebellar genesis before she died in 2019, were invited to Tim’s Night of Shine non-profit garage held in their home country of South Africa.
“She’s a really special girl, and I’m so lucky and blessed to have her in my life,” Tim said in an ESPN interview in July. “I’m usually very private about these things, but I’m very grateful.”
While talking to Us in 2024, Tim revealed that he and the model were dating over a shared love of philanthropy.
January 2018
After six months of being together, Tim popped the question.
“@demileighnp Thank you for saying YES and making me the happiest man in the world,” he wrote on Instagram. “You are the love of my life, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
January 2020
Tim and Demi-Leigh tied the knot in Cape Town, South Africa.
“We are both cultural,” he said People at that time. “We wanted to look back at the wedding and see that it was intimate, glamorous and traditional. We definitely wanted it to be something we could look back on and know that nothing was faked. We want to remember this day for the rest of our lives.
August 2024
Demi-Leigh published her memoir, The Everlasting Crownand Tim was his No. 1 supporter throughout this process.
“[It took] a lot of courage to write during difficult times in his life,” said Tim Uscalling the book a “great inspiration” to other women.
Meanwhile, Demi-Leigh also credited Tim as her “sounding board” while writing each chapter.
“There [were] writing nights from 7 p.m. to, like, 3 a.m.,” she said. “He just showed up [make] I bathed in hot water and Epsom salts.”
January 2025
Demi-Leigh revealed on January 14 that she is pregnant with the couple’s first child.
“Baby Tebow,” she captioned the maternity photos on Instagram.
