Threads Now allows you to post on other users’ posts
Add threads is a new feature that allows users to be more creative in calling out other people’s posts. The app now has a “Markup” tool that allows users to overwrite posts they want to retweet, Adam Mosseri shared.
Markup capabilities appear in the quote and repeat menu. But instead of just citing the post, it opens an editing tool where you can add highlights, arrows or doodles to the top of the post screen. Mosseri said the feature was designed to “add your own classic take” to the post, but the tools are currently limited. You can only add highlighted highlights or red arrows and doodles, although Mosseri says there will be “more coming soon” with the meta.
A Thrents spokesperson confirms that the feature will work the same way to cite a post in that the first user is notified when someone chooses to tag their post. You can also use the “Who can reply and quote” setting to disable markulungips on your posts.
The application also makes two other features already reviewed by the official: and. The features are likely to be especially useful for brands, creators and others who manage a technical presence on the site, which is so fast that many business-oriented platforms focus on Meta. Both could also come in handy should the meta begin to pick up, a move that is reportedly in the works for late 2025.
