The mother of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is defending the disgraced music legend as he is jailed for sex crimes.

Janice Combs, the mother of Sean “Diddy” Combs, broke her silence on Sunday and admitted that she is “very sad and saddened” by the allegations against her son, she said in a statement provided to Fox News Digital.
Diddy was arrested September 16 and was charged the next day with conspiracy to defraud; forced, fraudulent or coercive sex trafficking; and transportation to trade. He entered a plea of not guilty just hours after being charged with sexual assault. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison or life in prison.
“It hurts to see my son not be judged for the truth, but for a story created by lies,” wrote Janice Combs. “Witnessing what appears to be the public execution of my son before he has a chance to prove his innocence is unbearable pain. Like everyone else, my son deserves his day in court; to finally share his side, and prove his innocence.”
She begged herself and said “my boy is not the monster they made him out to be, and he deserves a chance to tell his side. I would pray that I live to see him speak the truth and be spared.”

“I’m not here to portray my son as perfect because he’s not perfect,” said Janice Combs. “He made mistakes in his past, as we do. My son may not have been completely truthful about certain things, such as denying that he had ever been violent with an ex-girlfriend when hotel surveillance showed otherwise.”

He continued, “Sometimes truth and lies are so intertwined that it’s scary to admit one side of the story, especially if that truth is out of the ordinary or too complicated to believe. That’s why I believe my son’s team of public lawyers chose to settle the ex-girlfriend’s case instead of fighting it to the end, which resulted in the federal government used this decision against my son by describing it as an admission of guilt.”
“I am not here to present my son as perfect because he is not perfect. He has made mistakes in his past like we all do.”
A surveillance video taken from a Los Angeles hotel in 2016 allegedly showed the billionaire publicly beating his then-girlfriend. Cassie Ventura. In the photo, Sean Combs “kicked, dragged, and threw a vase at the woman as she tried to leave,” the lawsuit says. “When a member of hotel security intervened, Combs attempted to bribe an employee to ensure peace.”

“It’s important to realize that none of us, regardless of our situation, is without fear or flaws,” said Janice Combs. “To be frank about one issue does not mean that my son is guilty of the heinous crimes and the serious crimes that have been charged against him. Many people who were wrongly convicted and then revoked and deprived of their freedom not because they have the crimes they were accused of, but because they did not conform to what this society considers a ‘good person.’ History has shown us how people can be unfairly judged because of their past actions or mistakes.”

He continued, “Watching the world make jokes and laugh at my son’s life crumbling before our eyes is something I will never forget. It’s really sad to see the world turn against my son so quickly and easily because of lies and misconceptions, never hearing from his side or giving him a chance to put his side.”

Janice Combs believed that people were looking for “monetary gain” by lying about her son, not the pursuit of justice. “These people saw how my son’s legal team quickly settled his ex-girlfriend’s case, so they believe they can get a quick salary by lying to my son,” he said. “False allegations of sexual abuse prevent real victims of sexual violence from getting the justice they deserve.”

“The most painful thing in this critical situation is to see my beloved son stripped of his dignity, not because of what he did, but because of what people choose to believe about him,” he said before asking his followers “not to judge him before I have a chance to hear his side.”
“I beg you to think about those who have been unfairly persecuted, remember that not everyone who has made mistakes in life deserves to be judged for one act or a few mistakes,” he wrote.
