The Israeli military has ordered a 45-day closure of the Al Jazeera West Bank office

Israeli forces raided the offices of news broadcaster Al Jazeera in Ramallah, West Bank, and ordered it closed for an initial 45-day period.
Viewers watched as soldiers handed the closure order to the network’s West Bank bureau chief Walid al-Omari, who read it live on air.
Relations between the Qatari-owned broadcaster and the Israeli government have long been strained but have worsened following the outbreak of war in Gaza.
