The 2025 budget: Telecom Sector receives Rs 28,400 Crore Boost, the Seal Sky in Mobile, TV & Network Equipment

Finance Minister Ninmala Sitharaman introduced Union Bhare25 for the annual financial year 2025-26 on February 1, introducing several methods aimed at increasing the telecom sector. The budget focuses on infrastructure development, dating of employment, and manufacturers.

Relief from basic custom activities in Carriers-Grade Grade

Prevention of division disputes, the government has reduced the basic cultural activity (BCD) in Carriers-Grade Grade Transnet change from 20% to 10%to bring up forthrical changes.

Expansion of Telecom infrastructure compensation

The budget has highly increased the compensation for providers who participate in the development and in the introduction of telecom infrastructure. The distribution has been increased to Rs 28,400 crore with FY26, from Rs 13,700 Crore FY25.

BCD determined in mobile phone components

The government has completed a basic 2,5% of the cellphone and components, including:

  • Printed by a Circuit Board (PCBA)
  • Camera module
  • The connectors used on cell phones

Deliverance of Producing Portable Battery

Promoting local production, 28 additional goods associated with the productivity of the mobile phone battery are added to the list of exempt.

Customized Delivery of the System Input of the TV Panel

The budget is fully releasing the culture of the specified installation and components used in producing the cells opened by LED / LCD TV for TV, including:

  • Chip on film
  • Printed circuit boards (PCBs)
  • Glasses of glass / lower cells

The announcements aim to strengthen Telecom and Electronic sectors, which support Indian opinion and the global competition.
