The 2024 Pop-Tarts Bowl featured amazing football: No. 18 ranked Iowa St. eliminated No. 13 Miami in a 42-41 victory. However, when it came to the Pop-Tarts Bowl, no one was talking about the actual football.
That’s because it’s one of the most incredibly unedited events you’ll ever see. Last year, the game made headlines after it “sacrificed” the strawberry mascot as the trophy for the winning team. In 2024, the Pop-Tarts Bowl kicked things up a notch. They had competition between the Pop Tart mascots to be slaughtered, resurrecting last year’s cakes, ripping off the packaging, and it all just got really weird.
Only in this weird college football game will you see a humanoid Pop-Tart being lowered to his “death” with a sign that reads “Follow Your Dreams.” Naturally, the internet loved it all.
