Paris Hilton Fosters Dog Surrendered During Los Angeles Wildfires
Paris Hilton lends a hand to help his friends after the Los Angeles wildfires.
“Hey everyone, I’m here at the Pasadena Humane Society, and today I’m here with this cat,” Hilton, 43, said on Instagram on Monday, January 13, standing behind the cat’s cage. “He’s been here for four days and he doesn’t have a collar or a microchip so they don’t know who his owner is.”
Hilton explained that she was showing off the cat so fans could identify the cat’s face “so it can go back to its home.”
“I will also foster another dog that was donated by his family who lost their home in the fire,” said Hilton. “And we will go and see if there are any other dogs out there still looking for their owners.”
Hilton noted that she wants her followers to know that the Pasadena Humane Society is an “amazing charity” and encouraged users to donate.
“I wanted to come here today to share my platform and raise awareness and highlight the wonderful foundations that do this work because these are our children,” he said looking at the cat. “And we will find your owner.”
The video ends with a close-up shot of a cat, which Hilton says came from the Altadena fire. Hilton noted that the cat’s ID number is A519218.
“Spent yesterday volunteering at the @PasadenaHumane Society, spending time with animals found after the wildfires 🥹,” Hilton wrote in the caption. “This beautiful cat was found without a collar in #Altadena and has been at a shelter for the past 4 days 💔. Please share with anyone you know in the Altadena area so we can reunite this baby with its owner! His pet ID is A519218.”
He continued, “My non-profit organization @1111Media Impact has donated to support the shelter’s efforts, and we are still raising money to help homeless families and pets 💰Every donation makes a difference in providing emergency aid, housing, and supplies. If you can donate or volunteer, the Pasadena Humane Society is an amazing charity! ❤️🐶🐱 You can contribute directly to them or through my emergency fund at the link in bio 🙏🏼 .”
Hilton went on to share a carousel of photos from her time volunteering with Baby2Baby and the Pasadena Humane Society. In another photo, Hilton hugs her new pooch, named Zuzu, close to her chest.
“I am so thankful that I was able to bring home Zuzu, our new kindergartner 🐶🐕💞 whose family unfortunately had to give up after their home was destroyed by a wildfire,” Hilton wrote in the comment section of her Instagram post. “Sterling is the most important way to help when you can—if you can, please consider donating to animals in need of a temporary or forever home 🏡🐾.”
Before visiting the organizations, Hilton shared on January 8 that he was among the many people in the Los Angeles area who lost their homes in the wildfires. The next day, Hilton shared a video of herself returning to what was left of her Malibu home.
“I’m standing here in what used to be our home, and the grief is truly indescribable.💔🥺,” Hilton wrote on Instagram on January 9. t process it. But now, when I stand here and see it with my own eyes, it feels like my heart is shattered into a million pieces.😢💔”
Hilton called this home a place for her and her husband Carter Reum they have “created wonderful memories as a family.” (The couple, who married in 2021, share son Phoenix, 23 months, and daughter London, 12 months.)
“My loved ones, my children, and my pets are safe.🥹,” he wrote. “That’s the most important thing, and I’m holding on to that gratitude with everything I’ve got.”
