The nominations for the 2025 Oscars are in, and a select group of movie stars will strike gold at the 97th Academy Awards in just a few weeks.
Bowen Yang again Rachel Sennott announced the nominees at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater on Thursday, January 23. Emilia Perez won a total of 13 nominations, including Best Photo, Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Zoe Saldana and Best Actress in a Leading Role Karla Sofía Gascón.
Brutalist once They are not bad combined with a total of 10 nominees. Both films were nominated for Best Picture, with stars Adrien Brody, Cynthia Erivo again Ariana Grande who lead individual names.

The Oscars will be held on Sunday, March 2, at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theater at Ovation Hollywood. Conan O’Brien is slated to host the awards show for the first time, joking in a November 2024 statement, “America asked for this and now it’s happening: Taco Bell’s new Cheesy Chalupa Supreme. In other news, I’m holding the Oscars.”
“We are thrilled and honored to have the incomparable Conan O’Brien host this year’s Oscars,” the Academy’s CEO. Bill Kramer and the President of the Academy Janet Yang said in a joint press statement at the time. “He is the perfect person to help lead our global film celebration with his great humor, his passion for movies and his live TV skills.”
Their statement continued, “His incredible ability to connect with audiences will bring viewers together to do what the Oscars do best – honoring this year’s incredible films and filmmakers.”
