Brand new season of Loner Criminals in the Building it’s here, and the prop team has once again delivered in a big way.

‘Only Killing in the Building’ Season 4 Review: Killing in the Movies
We’ve broken down the credits for each Easter egg ending below (we’ll continue to update this story as each new episode drops).
Episode 1, “Once Upon a Time in the West”

The picture on the left, a green box of premium quality lager “Olde Belgium”, is actually a throwback to the end of Season 3. This is the story of the beer that Sazz (Jane Lynch) brings to Charles (Steve Martin), soon after. before he was killed. “I got you a cold case,” Sazz says, but Charles suggests fetching a 1966 Argentine Malbec from his house. If only they would stick to lager.
The second image is a mock poster of what appears to be happening Loner Criminals in the Building adaptation of the film, complete with the names of the main actors – Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria, and Zach Galifianakis – and a line promising the film “will only be in theaters this Christmas”.
Episode 2, “The Gates of Heaven”

On the left we have the little pig that Oliver (Martin Short) and Mabel (Selena Gomez) find in the bathroom of the abandoned apartment opposite Charles’ — in the West tower. It looks like this was the place where the killer killed Sazz, so we’re guessing the pig will be really important? We don’t know who it really is, but it makes a whimpering bid for freedom at the end of the episode when it escapes through an open apartment door.
To the right are playing cards, possibly representing the “Oh Hell” game Oliver and Mabel are playing with the “sauce family” who live across from Charles. Could the game itself be some kind of clue? It could also represent the poker game that Sazz has set for Charles Brazos back in the day, it was described in a moving moment in the episode as when Sazz “makes friends” for the show’s lonely star.

Of course, the thing on the left is a ham radio. These radios play a big role in episode 3, when Mabel, Oliver, and Charles finally go some way to solve their mystery before the credits roll. “Howard [Morris, Michael Cyril Creighton’s character] he was covering the same song on the radio,” Oliver said, after he and Mabel broke the impromptu theme song for the 1986 sitcom. Complete Strangers. “Yeah, someone got on the line and said, ‘Meet me at 445.’
The group quickly learns that this is the norm, but when they sing to it they get a cold warning. “You shouldn’t be like this,” a strange voice answered. “The last person who came to ask these questions was killed.”
The thing on the right is not so mysterious. It’s a screenshot of a web search for “squatters rights NYC”, with the following sentence highlighted: “a squatter can be considered a legal tenant in as little as 30 days.” This is a throwback to Mabel’s plan to live in an abandoned apartment in the West tower of The Arconia, as she now has no place of her own.
Episode 4, “The Stunt Man”

To the left is a sign that reads “Future Home of Sazz Pataki Impact Academy”. This is the sign that Charles, Oliver, and Mabel found on the property that Sazz bought in an effort to fulfill his dream of opening a trampoline park/training center for children.
To the right is a painting of a man laying on a pool table while others are gearing up — this is the painting hanging from the stunt bar, which Charles repeats when he stands at Sazz’s memorial service.
Episode 5, “Adjustment”

On the left is a red carpet photo from the “Power Women Party: Most Power Women Under 100”, with studio head Bev Melon (Molly Shannon) flanked by other women. This is the photo that Bev showed our big three to back up her alibi on the night Sazz was killed. Sazz, it turns out, left a message on Bev’s phone shortly before she was killed saying there was a “big problem” with Bev’s movie.
To the right is a news item titled “Burn Units Hottest New Star Sets Our Jonk on Fire” above a picture of Jack Jonk, the star Oliver fears his girlfriend Loretta (Meryl Streep) might be having an affair with.
