Musk says ‘unrepentant hateful racists’ must be removed from Republican Party as visa row escalates

Elon Musk has declared that “hateful, unrepentant racists” must be removed from the “root and trunk” of the Republican Party as the intra-party conflict over H-1B visas intensifies.

Negotiations on H-1B visas have divided Donald Trump’s team, with the heads of the Department of Labor Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy on one side and other allies like Laura Loomer on the other. The Space X founder fueled the controversy Friday night when he called for the removal of “despicable fools” from the GOP.

Musk made this statement in response to a post on X by Neera Tanden, director of President Joe Biden’s US Domestic Policy Council.

“I’m an Indian American who was born here and it’s clear that the Democratic Party sees me as American and most of the base of the Republican Party doesn’t.” I hope American Indians remember this moment in the next election. They don’t see you as one of them. And I won’t,” he wrote.

“You thought they hated other immigrants. But it turns out that nothing is different for you. As many of us have been telling you,” continued Tanden.

Scott Adams, creator of the comic strip Dilbert, chimed in, saying that MAGA Republicans are now “taking a page from Democrats about how to lose an election while feeling good about it.”

The owner of X agreed, writing: “Yes. And those despicable idiots must be removed from the Republican Party, root and stem. “

Musk clarified in a subsequent post that when he said “despicable fools,” he was referring to “those in the Republican Party who are hateful, unrepentant racists.” He added: “They will be the downfall of the Republican Party if they are not removed.”

Trump’s “best friend” took the argument to another level. He and Ramaswamy defended the need for immigrant workers in the tech industry while Laura Loomer criticized the visa system and instead promoted an “America First” agenda. “Donald Trump has promised to eliminate the H1B visa program and I support his policy,” he wrote on X on Thursday.

He also accused Musk of removing his blue checkmark from X, the social media platform he owns.

The tech billionaire has slammed “racists” – despite promoting other anti-immigration and anti-racist views.

Last year, he defended Adams after the Dilbert creator described black Americans as a “hateful bunch” and urged white Americans to “get the hell away” from them.

He offered his support to Germany’s Alternative for Germany (AfD) party – a far-right party that supports hate speech against immigrants – saying “only the AfD can save Germany.”

Musk also shared a job in August with Tommy Robinson, a far-right activist in the UK who was sentenced to 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to contempt of court for making false allegations about a Syrian refugee.

He also promoted the conspiracy theory of “mass replacement,” which suggests that white Americans are being deliberately replaced by minority groups and immigrants.
