List of Golden Globes 2025 winners: ‘The Brutalist,’ ‘Emilia Pérez’ Big Score; ‘Shōgun’ Dominates TV Ratings

GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics finally revealed the winners i 2024 Dorian TV Awardswe celebrate the best achievements in television and broadcast platforms. HBO Max’s popular comedy series ‘Hacks’ was the biggest hit of the night and won four major awards, including Best TV Comedy and Best Written TV Show. Meanwhile, the show won another award in the acting category, with Jean Smart winning the award for Best TV Performance – Comedy.

AMCs ‘Conversation with the Vampire’ followed closely behind with three impressive wins, including Best TV Drama. Although FX’s ‘Shogun’ was considered the favorite in the category, it ended up falling short of winning the top prize. On the other hand, the AMC series won two more awards – Best LGBTQ Show and Best TV Show – taking its awards to 3. Meanwhile, the Showtime/Paramount+ series ‘Friendly Travelers’ dominated the acting categories and won Best TV Performance – Drama (Matt Bomer) and Best Supporting TV Performance – Drama (Jonathan Bailey). On the other hand, the very popular Netflix series ‘Baby Reindeer’ won the award for Best TV Movie or Limited Series.

In addition, GALECA honored several outstanding individuals with special awards: a Salvadoran-American writer, comedian, and actor. Julio Torres received the Wilde Wit Award; the GALECA TV Trailblazer Award went to the esteemed actor Alan Cummingthe winning host of the reality show “The Traitors”; and a famous comedian, actor, singer, and memoirist Carol Burnett was recognized with the GALECA TV Icon Award.
