Kristin Cavallari Details Mark Estes Split: ‘Nobody’s Fooled’

Kristin Cavallari she still thinks about her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Mark Estes it was the “best” he’d ever had – but their age gap proved too great for them to move on.
“It’s hard because I broke up with Mark because I just know that for a long time it’s not right,” Cavallari, 37, revealed during the Tuesday, October 1, episode of his “Let’s be honest” podcast, confirming their separation. “It’s not because of lost love or something bad happened. No one cheated. No one was evil. No one is doing anything.”
“That separation is always very difficult, I think, because it’s easier when a boy does something that makes you hate him,” she continued.
Uncommon founder James also said Estes, 24, “has done nothing” wrong. (Us Weekly confirmed on Friday, September 27, that Cavallari and Estes split seven months after first dating.)
“Mark has always been so sweet and supportive. He has always been there. He’s been the best boyfriend I’ve ever had,” Cavallari admitted. “I just know that for a long time you need to experience life.”

Cavallari and Estes raised eyebrows when they went public in February because of their 13-year age difference. However, Cavallari is still standing by his relationship with Estes. “I started to feel the age just a little bit with the knowledge of life. I look back at the age of 24 and how much life has happened to me in the meantime,” he told his audience. “Those are the key years. Those are the growing years. This is where you find yourself. He must be able to do that.”
I Laguna Beach The alum admitted that “a lot of people” will call her late for her age, but said she “always knows she’s 24.” He added, “It wasn’t like I was ignoring the fact that he was young.” The former reality star noted that she doesn’t want to “take away” Estes from getting married and having children of her own.

Cavallari – who shares sons Camden, 12, and Jaxon, 10, and daughter Saylor, 8, with ex-husband Jay Cutler — began to feel bad after insisting that her breakup with Estes was “not a bad thing.”
“Of course I see our relationship as a good relationship. Probably the best relationship of my life, honestly,” Cavallari explained. “It was really healthy and ripe. It was nothing but sweet and loving. Mark is an excellent host. That’s what makes it difficult.”
Cavallari is upset about Estes’ future outside of their relationship, saying, “I actually think one day you’re going to thank me” for pulling the plug. “That’s just looking back at the fact that you’re not 24. Everything is like this [focused on] right now when you’re 24,” he said.
Although it was difficult to let him go, Cavallari said he has “no regrets” about the love. “It was a good, happy relationship. I will always look back on Mark and I with good memories and pure happiness,” he continued, adding that he “hopes for the best” and they will remain friends after some time apart.
Cavallari admitted, “Mark is someone I would really like to have in my life in some way. I care about him a lot. My children love him.” She started crying again thinking about how this Montana Boyz star will grow up. “He has the whole world in front of him,” they said The hills alum pointed out.
When it comes to his future, Cavalari said his life is “really full” with his children, work and “a few friends.” The new boyfriend, however, is far from her mind.
“[It’s] so it’s even on my radar right now. I have no interest in returning to the world of dating right now,” he told his audience. “I don’t know how much time I have for dating.”
While Cavallari asserted that she is “really happy and content with my life right now in terms of my kids and my career,” she said Estes is the type of man she wants in her life — when the stars align.
“If Mark was 45 years old and had two older children of his own, he would be perfect. I mean that,” said Cavallari. “He’s a very good man, but to me it means I’m close to finding The One.”
He noted that because Estes was “very close to what I want” he is confident that the “work” he has done since breaking up with Cutler is successful. “I think the time was off,” Cavalari continued, concluding, “My life right now is full. I don’t want the time I have to go to a man right now. That’s it.”
