Kristen Doute Details ‘Threatened Miscarriage’ During Her Pregnancy

“Something unpleasant happened to us over the weekend,” Doute, 41, shared on the Friday, December 13, episode of the “Bancing Act” podcast. “We’re going to talk about this briefly, but I think it’s important to talk about it because if other women are going through it … some women I’ve honestly read about on the internet and a few friends are the ones who put me through this.”
On December 6, Doute said she started bleeding “a lot, and it just came out.”
“We were on the couch,” she said while recalling times with her partner and boyfriend Luke Broderick. “I wasn’t doing anything and I just panicked.
The valley The star decided to call her doctor, who advised her to visit the emergency room to be safe.
“I’m bleeding, and that’s the scary part,” Doute recalled. “I don’t know what this means, because I’m in a state of total panic, like, ‘How much money have I actually lost? How much blood will I continue to lose? Will this continue to happen? Will it not stop?’ There are crazy thoughts in your head.”
When they saw the doctor, Doute and Broderick, 33, got the good news that their baby was fine.
“Everything worked out,” said Doute. “We still don’t know exactly what happened. … What we think happened is that there was a change in my placenta. All the blood was mine; the blood was not the child’s.”
