John Stamos Defends Wearing a Bald Hat in Support of Dave Coulier

John Stamos he defends his decision to wear a bald head when visiting hers Full house the costar Dave Coulier after the actor announced that he was battling cancer.
Stamos, 61, said he was “shocked” by the backlash from fans, stressing that TMZ on Thursday, November 21 that his visit with Coulier was “unbelievable” and they “laughed a lot” when they showed off the bald cap.
Coulier, 65, was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s cancer, a “very aggressive” cancer, in October and announced his diagnosis on November 14.
“He wanted me to come and shave my head. I knew before, so I brought the bald man to the studio,” Stamos told the outlet, adding that he “flew across the country to be with my brother” as a gesture of support.
I The Big Shot The actor explained that he was unable to cut his hair due to contractual obligations as he was filming a new show.
“However, I am very shocked. “First of all, I’m embarrassed and they’re embarrassing,” said Stamos, speaking to a source about his actions. “But when I first saw this monster, I was like, ‘What?’ I couldn’t understand it. I still don’t know 100%. What they should be doing instead of making silly little videos, or comments — they should be calling their doctor, making an appointment. I think that’s the whole point of this. It was Dave’s message.”
Stamos said that while he usually ignores online criticism, the negative response was disappointing given that his goal was to be there for a friend in their time of need.
“I don’t look at things [online]. Most of the time I swear I don’t do it, but this one hurt me especially because I didn’t understand it,” said Stamos. “But the point is I’m ashamed of people for wasting time on this when what I was doing was making my friend happy, and I’m sorry – I started saying ‘I’m sorry,’ I’m sorry.”
Stamos spoke fondly of the time he spent with Coulier, revealing, “He cried, we laughed, we watched old movies and told stories and I brought videos and it was great.”
For his part, Coulier also publicly defended Stamos by donning a bald cap to support him.
“I’m sorry to see so many negative comments as I’ve just started my cancer journey,” Coulier wrote on Instagram on Tuesday, November 19. “Our friendship (John and I) is how we deal with the hardest times. I’m a comedian and comedy is what drives me. John knows to cheer me up and I laughed out loud when he came wearing a bald cap – to be a friend and a true loving brother.”
