Jeremy Renner Marks 2-Year Anniversary of Near-Crash Snow Farming Incident

Jeremy Renner he does not take his life for granted.

The Marvel star, 53, shared his gratitude in a poignant Instagram post uploaded on Wednesday, January 1 as he reflected on the snow plowing accident that nearly killed him two years ago.

Renner was rushed to the hospital and suffered more than 30 broken bones after being crushed by a snow plow at his home in Nevada on New Year’s Day 2023. In an Instagram post, the actor celebrates the two-year anniversary of the near-fatal incident.

“Happy New Year to you all…. I’m crying on my second “ReBirthday” today sending my love, respect, and gratitude to the army of people it took to bring me back together,” she wrote.

“Thank you to every nurse, doctor, first responder… I truly owe you my life. My whole heart goes out to my beautiful, brave niece and the angels (my neighbors) who jumped to my aid and endured a chaotic 45 minutes in a cold building on New Year’s morning. I’m sorry for all the bad pictures I posted on you all (I’ll spare you the meat grinder pictures)….”

He continued: “My list of gratitude is very long …. With a lot of love and prayers from you all over the world (I need everyone), my family never left me, with some divine intervention, luck and many miracles … be strong again. More Open. Most Popular. More Connected. And f–king BLESS taking my next step, taking MY NEXT SPIRIT. Thank you for every fiber and cell in my body. I love you ALL ❤️. #MyNextBreath.”

Alongside a lengthy caption, Renner shared a post of himself in a hospital bed surrounded by doctors, nurses and hospital staff.

An accident in January 2023 saw the actor crushed by a PistenBully, a snow removal vehicle weighing more than 14,330 kilograms, near his home while clearing snow with his nephew.

As a result of the accident, Renner suffered more than 38 broken bones, including six broken ribs in 14 places, a broken tibia and a collapsed lung.

“I remember all the kidnappings,” he said Men’s Health July 2024. “I remember my head hitting something and it just pressing into me — it’s exactly what you think it would feel like. Something that doesn’t move and the power that compresses, and something has to give. But thank God my skull did not give in fully.”
