Harold Perkins Jr. of LSU is out for the season after suffering a knee injury vs. UCLA
LSU linebacker Harold Perkins Jr. will miss the rest of the 2024 season after injuring his knee during the team’s win over UCLA.
Tigers coach Brian Kelly said Perkins suffered an ACL tear. Perkins was expected to declare for the NFL Draft after the season.

“Of course the injuries we hear are terrible, especially for Harold and the work he did,” said Kelly. “We will have another person to step up …. They are difficult, but we have very good players who can come in.”
Perkins went down in the first quarter while trying to fumble the Bruins. He had just 1.5 tackles for loss through the first four games of the season.
He was a preseason AP All-America selection after having 5.5 sacks and 75 tackles in his sophomore season with LSU. In his first season, Perkins had 72 tackles and 7.5 sacks.

Sophomore Whit Weeks is on the depth chart behind Perkins and may be called up next. West Weeks and JK Johnson are also on the Tigers’ depth chart.
LSU will play South Alabama on Saturday before the SEC schedule gets into the middle of it.

The Tigers already beat South Carolina earlier this month. LSU suffered a lone loss against USC in the season opener.
