Gypsy Rose Blanchard Gives Wise Advice to the Menendez Brothers

Gypsy Rose Blanchard he gave wise words Erik again Lyle Menendez in the matter of the release of the brothers from prison.

Blanchard, 33, was released from the Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri in December 2023 where he served seven years after pleading guilty to murdering his mother in 2015. Claudine “Dee Dee” Blacnchardtalked to the Mendez brothers TMZ Sunday, October 13.

He told the court that if a new trial or acquittal is upheld against the Mndendez brothers, who were convicted of murdering their parents in Beverly Hills in 1989 and are the subject of a Netflix series. The Menendez Brothersthese two should not rush to return to society. (Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón confirmed on October 3 that the brothers’ hearing is being reviewed due to the submission of new evidence.)

“It is very difficult to go out into a world that has changed a lot even in the time I have spent [in prison] …I would say take your time, you know, get it right,” Blanchard told the outlet before boarding the plane at LAX. “And get treatment because you need it in this kind of world [and] day and age.”

Blanchard, who is pregnant with her first child with her boyfriend Ken Urkerhe admitted that he is “not very educated” on the Mndendez case, which has attracted worldwide attention since the Netflix series premiered on October 7, but he reiterated his passion for the recognition of the rights of victims of torture.

“I’m an advocate for victims of abuse in general and I’m all about prison reform so … if the case is reviewed, hopefully something can be done,” Blanchard said. “Victims need more advocacy.”

The store told Blanchard that Kim Kardashian sided with the Mndendez brothers, writing an Oct. 3 NBC News story detailing his conviction about the brothers’ sentences being “reconsidered,” which led Blanchard to commend him.

“Kim is a smart woman. “He’s making good decisions during his time in prison,” said Blanchard.

Blanchard was taken into custody after her ex-boyfriend at the time, Nicholas Godejohnkilled Dee Dee after she and Blanchard planned the murder of her mother who was allegedly abusive. Godejohn, who was also arrested in 2015, is serving life in prison without parole for first-degree murder after being convicted in 2018.

It was reported that Dee Dee has a mental illness known as Manchausen syndrome by proxy, a mental disorder in which a caregiver becomes ill or creates the illusion of being ill in order to get attention. Blanchard is believed to have fallen victim to the disease.

While Blanchard enjoyed her new life as a mother, she faced a tumultuous love life following her release from prison. After marriage Ryan Scott Anderson in 2022 while incarcerated, she filed for divorce in April.

Later that month, she confirmed that she had gotten back together with ex-boyfriend Urker, whom she met through a friend’s program in prison.
