Hurricane Helene relief concert brings country stars Luke Combs, Eric Church home to North Carolina
The country’s stars continue to come together to help with Hurricane Helene relief efforts.
Musicians Luke Combs and Eric Church, along with bluegrass singer Billy Strings and legendary singer-songwriter James Taylor, have joined forces for the Carolina Concert, an event that will raise money for relief efforts in the Carolinas after the devastation of Hurricane Helene. .
The concert will take place on October 26 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, tickets will go on sale on Oct. 10 on the Ticketmaster website.

The event will be hosted by ESPN’s Marty Smith and Barstool Sports’ Caleb Pressley. Additional artists are still to be announced.
The concert is presented by Explore Asheville, and according to a press release, “All proceeds from this event, including sponsorships, will be split 50/50 between Combs and the Church’s Chief Cares Foundation to direct the organizations of their choice to support relief efforts throughout the Carolinas and South- east.”
“This is my home. It’s in every fiber of who I am. Our family members, friends, neighbors and communities are in dire need. I’m honored to share a platform with an amazing list to help meet those needs. Through the darkness, the light will shine.
Combs is giving a portion of the proceeds to “Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank and Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, and another organization to be announced.” According to the Church, he is “focused on helping established charities that are well-run, organized and can expedite aid directly to families affected by Hurricane Helene.”

In a post shared on Instagram accompanying the announcement, Combs wrote, “I told you I have something big planned for Carolina. One of the ways we’re helping is a benefit concert at Bank of America Stadium on Oct. 26th! This concert took a lot of planning, work, and communication A big thank you to everyone who helped make this happen on such short notice. Tickets go on sale on Thursday and 100% of all proceeds go directly to those who need it most.”

In his letter, the Church said, “This is my home. It is in everything that I am. Our family members, friends, neighbors and communities are in great need. I am honored to share the platform with a wonderful program to help meet those needs. In the darkness, the light will shine.

Both Combs and Church are North Carolina natives – Combs grew up in Asheville, and Church is from Granite Falls.
Both attended Appalachian State University, located in Boone, North Carolina.
Combs eventually moved to Nashville to further his music career, but he still feels a strong connection to his hometown. In an interview on the “Dirty Mo Media” podcast earlier this year, he said, “Many of my favorite memories of my life were made there.” He said he hopes that one day he will have a second home in the mountains.

Church also moved from the nation to Nashville, though she splits her time between Music City and her home in North Carolina. In a video he posted on Instagram over the weekend, he said that home is a “refuge” for him, adding, “It’s a place where I’ve always said my soul rests.”
He said he will donate all publishing profits from his new single, “Darkest Hour,” to relief efforts.

Many other stars have given time to donate to Hurricane Helene relief efforts.
East Tennessee native Dolly Parton has donated $1 million to the Mountain Way Foundation, the country star announced Friday.

“I’m happy to be here,” Parton said at the press conference. “And I’m sure a lot of you are wondering where I’ve been. Everybody’s like, ‘Where’s Dolly? Well, I’ve been like everybody else, trying to absorb everything that’s going on, trying to find all the best ways to do this.’

Morgan Wallen, also from East Tennessee, donated $500,000 to the Red Cross through The Morgan Wallen Foundation. This money will be used to help those affected by Hurricane Helene.
Wallen also created a “HELP” T-shirt, with 100% of the artist’s proceeds going to the Morgan Wallen Foundation’s Hurricane Helene relief fund, the country music star shared on Instagram on Friday.

Miranda Lambert and her MuttNation Foundation they ensure that animals affected by Hurricane Helene are cared for.
On October 2, Lambert took to social media to share that he and MuttNation had donated $100,000 to the relief effort.
