Establishing a 'Can' culture in your class

The long-term issue of any school should not as skilled students, but it gave the students. The “power-given” student can view macro ideas, unlock the following details, asking questions, a new information system and transmission of the opposite situations. This does not happen by the content of the “carrying information,” or by an enthusiastic fire, but by placing a learning tone that is possible, and creating a culture of can.

First, it is important to note that “cultures” contain material (students) and intangible (curiosity). And it is – there – there – there are that as teachers we accept. It starts a formal reading and will last longer after the official study experience has passed.

Reading “I can “
If the student increases the feeling of canHe has to learn. While other students have a natural self-esteem or a higher course than others, can It’s a little different than self-esteem. Can Is the integration of information and use of the work that has been refined in information – by improperly metabolates of the internal objectives created at levels of standards and drawn in.

So how is this possible? Where do you come from?

In Improving MindsThe type of anthology of teaching methods planned by Art Costa, there are suggestions for psychological recognition and recognition, including safe thinking, “and” questions of teaching rather. “1

These suggestions often have emotional roots, which means learning must be emotional (that is the hardest of this. One wide teaching method that works almost every one time – and can work here and to create a culture of can – Slowly issued to a commitment model.

Three ways to build “can”

1. Use a gradual exclusion of a commitment model

The gradual release of the model can be negligent to “show me, help me, let me let me.” This is involved in students ‘involvement from the teacher’s role in the cooperative role in cooperatives’ experience, “and in the end of the freedom of freedom.

By definition, this pattern begins with each teacher and teachers control, and concludes to expect that the student will take. Has not cast the students at the deep end of the use of skills and ideas.

2. Purpose Use each student as customer

The disciples gathered individually to create a greater culture. In classing practices, a tone of delicate discussion, cooperation status and a limited desire for projects and the lesson work for all who give in class cultures. If this tradition comes from the floor, it ends up speaking and “expectation” is real culture. Culture is organic and it is almost impossible to force – but it can be raised and growing.

Feeling respect for the student’s donation is a sensitive. This is different than receiving their achievements, which may be educational or in the Paint. Contributions, however, involves the nuance – supporting roles, emotional support, mini-milestones in long-term projects, and other “small”.

In fact, there is more ninance here than the teacher who had 35 students could have time to highlight. But as you practice the habit, highlighting and drawing attention to these acts and mental behavior, you will eventually see other disciples doing the same.

And when that happens, create cultures!

3. Various – and Truth – Successful Goals

Nobody wants a good goal to participate, but come in real success words in learning can make or break baby experience.

When it varies greatly to read and write, more options built up, is where the Biretti is more effective, “work” multimedia, the fact of success. Sibe (ngethemba) kuthuthe kungaphezu kwamandla aqinile “izifundiswa” lapho uthisha echaza khona imigomo, amagama wesizinda kanye ne- “End Game”, futhi athuthela endaweni eyayigxile kulowo mfundi, indawo lapho abafundi bengeke benze khona izinqumo ezingezinhle kakhulu Shintsha inkambo yokufunda, kodwa kunalokho asungule Their reasons for learning, their quality standards and matterns to succeed.

This is the basis of the custom can.
