Disney Denies Passport Because of Star Wars Name?

The boy’s parents, Christian and Becky Mowbray, have long been fans of the popular Star Wars franchise. Coincidentally, the couple’s child was born on May 4, an annual day of celebration for Star Wars fans around the world. They report that for the first seven years of young Loki’s life, he did not face any obstacles related to his given name.

But when the family tried to take a long overdue vacation to the Dominican Republic that they had planned for this October, the issue of Disney Star Wars passports came to the fore and disrupted their plans. Britain’s Home Office, which handles immigration and national security, refused Loki’s request after telling Mowbray’s parents that they could not print “Skywalker” on any official government form.
