Delhi Weather Update: Dense fog blankets national capital, 45 trains delayed
Delhi Weather Update: There was thick fog in the national capital on Saturday morning, severely reducing visibility and disrupting train services, officials reported. They said 45 trains were delayed due to dense fog.
The weather department said Safdarjung recorded a minimum visibility of 50 meters between 12:30 am and 1:30 am, which later improved to 200 meters and remained at that level till 7:30 am.
Many areas experienced dense fog during the morning hours.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 7.7 degree Celsius, which is normal for this season, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The weather department has also forecast thunderstorms with rain throughout the day, with the maximum temperature expected to be 15 degrees Celsius.
