Search Texas real estate agent Suzanne Simpson leads in the woods close to home

Police have shifted their search for Suzanne Simpson to the wooded areas near her home in Olmos Park, Texas, as the hunt for the missing agent and mother of four enters its third week.

Simpson, 51, He disappeared on October 6 after an alleged fight with her husband of 22 years in Olmos Park, outside San Antonio.

Sgt. Deon Cockrell of the Texas Department of Public Safety told Fox News Digital that the search at the local landfill has ended after no evidence linked to Simpson’s disappearance was found there last week.

“They have removed all search parties and equipment from that area,” Cockrell said.

Olmos Park Mayor Erin Harrison said the search for Simpson “will now focus on the wooded areas in and around Olmos Park,” KSAT reported. Harrison said the Olmos Park Police Department enlisted the services of Texas Search and Rescue, an Austin-based nonprofit organization.

Simpson’s sister, Teresa Clark, expressed gratitude for all those involved in the search when she spoke to News 4 San Antonio on Saturday.

“When a mom is missing, they’re not accidentally missing,” Clark told the outlet. “Suzanne was a lovely mother.”

Simpson was last seen wearing a black dress on Oct. 6 at 11 pm in the 500 block of East Olmos in Olmos Park. He is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

A neighbor told police she saw Brad Simpson and wife Suzanne fighting the night of Oct. 6 and later heard screams coming from a nearby wooded area, according to an arrest affidavit. A neighbor noted that “Ms. Simpson was trying to get away from Mr. Simpson when he tried to pull her down,” the report continued.

“That night we think he was depressed … it’s very suspicious, however, that he obviously won’t be working, and he’s not looking after his children,” Olmos Park Police Chief Fidel Villegas said.

Police tried to talk to Brad, but he was “uncooperative,” Villegas said.

“Brad’s refusal to cooperate is unacceptable,” wrote Suzanne’s brother-in-law, Barton Simpson, in a Facebook post.

According to jail records, Brad Simpson remains in the Bexar County Jail on a combined bond of $2 million on charges of assault causing bodily harm, domestic violence and unlawful restraint for the Oct. 6 incident.

He is being held on a $2 million bond, but a federal inmate charge by the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on a gun charge is keeping him behind bars.

The federal charge is unlawful possession of a firearm, according to an affidavit obtained by Fox News Digital.
