A Lamborghini fleeing the CHP overturns and bursts into flames in Tarzana

Residents in the Tarzana area woke up in a frenzy on Saturday morning after a Lamborghini SUV fleeing the law enforcement drove down the road, hit several cars, and burst into flames.
The crash happened around 4:00 a.m. in the 5500 block of Tampa Avenue, where residents say they found a black SUV upside down with a trail of vandalism behind it. Residents pulled the driver out of the car.
“We didn’t think he was alive at first,” a resident named Tristan told OnSceneTV, a news service. “He didn’t answer and he finally made a noise and that’s when we got him out.”
The Los Angeles Police Department said the vehicle was being chased by the California Highway Patrol. Details of why they were chasing him were not yet available.
The SUV collided with several vehicles, knocking over a concrete mailbox and onto the ground, resident Gina Patterson said. When he heard a crash, he went outside and saw someone lying on the ground.
The car caught fire soon after, neighbors told OnSceneTV. Los Angeles EMS rushed a 35-year-old man to the hospital in critical condition, according to LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
