A California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer was injured in a crash in Palmdale Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
The accident happened around 1:15 pm at Challenger Way and East Avenue M, said CHP spokesman Alec Pereyda. The officer was taken to a local hospital and was stable, Pereyda said. LA County Sheriff’s Department and CHP personnel responded to the incident.
In response to the accident, the intersection was closed around 2 p.m., Pereyda said. He said the cause of the collision is being investigated. No other information was available.
