Election Season in America: Scenes from Around the World

Every presidential election it feels so important right now. This one, however, may go up to the label. Kamala Harris and Donald Trump offer visions of the future of the US that could not be more different. Their campaigns are very different in tone, style, and content. Perhaps the only thing they have in common, in fact, is the extent to which they are posted online.
But while memes and shares have in many ways defined the 2024 US presidential election, there is a whole world of moments that have happened without the viral spotlight. At WIRED, we took a step back to look at the last months in time, exploring the places, scenes, and people who don’t always make the feed. Below, we offer a different picture of an America that is often divisive, and rarely offline.
