“After much care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” Mellencamp, 43, wrote on Instagram on Saturday, November 2. privacy and life throughout this new chapter. “
He added, “Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do, but in an effort to protect my family from unnecessary speculation and rumors, I felt free, honest and vulnerable was the best way forward.”
Mellencamp and 47-year-old Arroyave, who has not yet spoken publicly about their split, have been married since 2011. They have three children: Slate, Dove and Cruz. (Arroyave is also the father of daughter Isabella from a previous relationship.)

“When we first started, I remember my first day I was honestly like ‘F—, when am I going to tell everyone I’m getting a divorce? Like when am I doing this?’” Teddi said during the March 2023 episode for his “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast. “We’re at our worst stage, because honestly, for us, it was about power struggles.”
He added, “We were always equals when we were together. I rode horses, I was competitive and I was all this. Then I couldn’t conceive naturally, I did all these IVFs. Then, all of a sudden, he was in charge of the finances, and I had never been that. I’ve never had my own money, I’ve been working since I was 17. Then I started to hate him.”
Teddi and the businessman were finally able to overcome their problems when he found love for himself again.
Since being diagnosed with skin cancer, Teddi Mellencamp has used her platform to remind fans to take care of their skin. Mellencamp revealed in March 2022 that he had a mole removed from his back. “This is a reminder to please get your skin checked every year,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum wrote. […]
Years later in 2022, Teddi was diagnosed with skin cancer and Arroyave stood by her side.
“I always say that life and pain are inseparable and seeing @teddimellencamp embrace his pain and use it for the best last night as he accepted the @curemelanoma gala was a great reminder of what he is capable of,” he wrote. Instagram on October 27, one week before Teddi confirmed her divorce plans. “His story has saved people’s lives. And I couldn’t be prouder that you will continue to save more. I love you, Teds.”
Teddi’s podcast host, Tamra Judge, responded, “Mom and dad look amazing.”
