NYC Mayor Adams Joins Trump’s MSG Rally After 45 Screams

New York City Mayor Eric Adams criticized President Donald Trump’s historic Madison Square Garden rally on Sunday for promoting “hateful remarks” from a guest speaker, despite Trump’s positive shout-out to the mayor during the massive rally.
“And you know who I want to thank?” Trump said Sunday evening in a sold-out arena. “Mayor Adams. Because Mayor Adams has been so mistreated. You know, when he says all this stuff about immigrants coming into New York, this is not just. You know, we’re not going to do it. we’re trying to run the city, we’ve got 100,000 immigrants coming in, we can’t to do it, it is not possible, it is not good.
“You said it very well,” Trump continued. “I said of course you will be charged with these crazy people who said that. A year later, he was charged. “
Fox News Digital reached out to Adams’ office for a response to the outcry, asking if the mayor agreed with Trump’s comments and the reaction to the meeting as a whole. Adams’ office directed Fox Digital to a text from the mayor praising the event for using “hateful words,” apparently referring to a comedian who made fun of Puerto Rico before Trump’s speech.

“I don’t know if you guys know this, but there’s a floating island of garbage in the ocean… in the ocean right now.” Hinchcliffe said. “I think it’s called Puerto Rico.”
Trump’s campaign released a statement distancing itself from Trump in the speech.
“This joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign,” senior Trump campaign adviser Danielle Alvarez said in a statement, according to reports.

Last year, Adams criticized the federal government’s handling of the immigration crisis, calling on President Biden to declare a state of emergency over the crisis, which the mayor has since linked to his corruption charges last month.
“This nation’s immigration system is broken. It has been broken for decades. Today, New York City is left to pick up the pieces. Since last year, nearly 100,000 asylum seekers have come to our city asking for asylum,” Adams. he told reporters last year as busloads of immigrants were transported to the Empire State. “That’s about the population of Albany, New York.”
“We are past our breaking point,” added the mayor. “New Yorkers’ compassion may be endless, but our resources are not. And our partners at the state and federal levels know this.”

Although there is no evidence Adams has been indicted for his previous comments on the immigration issue, he has also been accused of a corruption scandal for his comments criticizing the Democratic Party on immigration last year.
