What did I miss?! Tens of thousands are reporting Hulu outages during live MLB games

Hulu’s live streaming of several sporting events, including the Dodgers game, on Thursday night was marred by technical difficulties as users reported – with some heat – about the streaming service going down unexpectedly.
“Turns out @hulu doesn’t, in fact, have live games,” said one X user.
Downdetector.com recorded about 83,000 outages.
Thursday night is Game 4 of the best-of-seven National League Championship series in New York between the Dodgers and Mets. The Dodgers currently lead the series 2-1.
They were tied 1-1 in the second inning, when Hulu’s streaming servers experienced a problem. Users missed the second to fourth innings and were still having problems logging in at 7 pm
Here’s what Hulu viewers missed: The Dodgers broke the tie with two runs in the third on hits by Tommy Edman and Enrique Hernandez. The Mets made it 3-2 in the bottom of the third before the Dodgers added two more runs in the top of the fourth on a double by Mookie Betts, leaving the Dodgers up 5-2.
Meanwhile, game three in the American League Championship Series between the New York Yankees and Cleveland Guardians was a nail-biter. The Guardians’ Jhonkensy Noel sent the game into extra innings with a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth, setting the stage for David Fry’s two-run homer in the bottom of the 10th. The Yankees still lead the series, 2-1.
Posts on Hulu’s support account on X have been filled with angry customers, saying their devices aren’t receiving the correct login information. The support team was responding to some accounts, providing a link to Hulu’s support page – which eventually went down as well.
“I’m sorry! We have received similar reports and our team is currently investigating the matter. We are working to fix things ASAP. For now, try using: as a possible solution!”
The support team has been giving permission to unhappy customers, asking them to follow the instructions on their contact support page.
Hulu’s bundle of live TV, Disney+ and ESPN+ raised its price the same day its baseball coverage stagnated, to $95.99 a month.
