Liam Payne Dead at 31

Liam Payne He died on Wednesday, October 16. He was 31 years old.

The former One Direction singer died in Buenos Aires, Us Weekly can confirm. CNN again TMZ reports that Payne was on the third floor of the CasaSur Palermo hotel when he went sideways.

Payne made his musical and reality TV debut in 2008 on a British series IX Factor. Although he was expelled, he auditioned again in 2010, where he was chosen to be a member of the new boy band One Direction.

The group, which included Harry styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson again Zayn Malikit was a great success.

One Direction released four studio albums from 2011 to 2014 before Malik, 31, announced he was leaving the group. “My life with One Direction has been more than I could have imagined,” said Malik in a statement in March 2015. “But, after five years, I feel that now is the right time for me to leave the group. I would like to apologize to the fans if I have disappointed anyone but I have to do what I feel is right in my heart I’m leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who can relax and have private time without being seen.”

Payne, Horan, 31, Styles, 30, and Tomlinson, 32, announced in August 2015 that they would be taking a break from 2016. They later disbanded the group completely to pursue their own careers.

Payne dropped his first solo single in 2017, “Strip That Down” along with it Quavofollowed by the accompanying “Get Low”. Zedd and “The Bedroom Floor” in the same year. His debut EP, First of allit was released the following year.

The singer released his first solo album, LP1in 2019. Payne revealed in May 2023 that he was working on his second record. “I’ve been making a transition album, which is very exciting,” he teased during an iFL TV interview. “It’s been great, I’m happy to put it out, and I want to tour this time, which is unusual. Because, I wasn’t sure that I would visit for a long time. I’ve been through it a little bit, but I’m really excited to get back on the road and see all the fans. It will be fun.”

Payne’s latest single, “Teardrops,” came out in March, which he co-wrote JC Chasez.

Following his time with One Direction, Payne became a father. He adopted his only son, Bear, with Cheryl Cole in March 2017. The couple called it quits in July 2018.

Payne then became engaged Maya Henry from August 2020 to spring 2022. He started dating Kate Cassidy in 2022 after his short love no Aliana Mawla. Us confirmed in May 2023 that Payne and Cassidy broke up, but later rekindled their romance in February.

Following his death, fans and famous friends have been sending messages of love for Payne.

“Sad to hear the news that @LiamPayne is passing 😢 Sending love and condolences to his family and loved ones. 🙏 RIP my friend🥺,” Paris Hilton he wrote with X on Wednesday.

Social media star Taylor Caniff marked with an X that Payne’s death was “very sad,” he revealed, “He played a roll.” [sic] throughout our childhood. It doesn’t seem real … I’m speechless.”
