Elizabeth Olsen’s comments about the Marvel movies being made for kids are entirely focused on CGI simulations, but we’d argue that the MCU would be stronger if it heeded closer to the simple stories of good and evil that we all loved as kids.
For example, one of the main reasons Forever the bombshell is that it was a happy meditation on eternal life…something that wouldn’t have made a page-turning joke. Currently, Deadpool and Wolverine successful because embraces what we all loved from comics when we were kids: good humor, cool action, and fun character interactions.
