Texas rep. Sylvester Turner, former Mayor of Houston, died suddenly 70 years of age, just two months after joining Congress.
The current Houston Mayor, John Whitmire announced Turter’s death at the beginning of the City Council meeting on Wednesday, with local news reports.

The cause of the Turnner’s death is not known. Earlier he was found with bone cancer in 2022, and radiation treatment.

The Turner was a Mayiston Mayor from 2016 to 2024, and saw the city in Harvey and Covi-19 epidemic.
He was elected representing the Texas Regional 18th Conmessionen in November 2024, following the death of rep TIME for a long time. Sheila Jackson Lee, found with Pancreatics cancer in June 2024.
He was a living in Houston’s life, and went to the University of Houston with his outer-outs before studying at Harvard Law School.
Turner is waiting for his daughter and grandson.
