The US released Russia prisoner as part of Marc Fogl Deal, said Kremlin

The United States issues a Russian prisoner as part of a protection agreement with Marc Fogol Freedom, Kremlin announced on Wednesday.

Fogel, a US teacher who was arrested in Russia since 2021, was released on Tuesday. Flight accomplishes the US late last night.

Kremlin Demyry Peskov said the name of the Russia prisoner would be revealed when he returned home.

“Recently, work has been extensively strengthened by the relevant organizations, the contacts,” said Peskov on the conference call of journalists, according to the Associated Press. “And these contacts have led to Fedel’s release, and one of the residents of Russian Federation, arrested in the United States in the United States. This Russian citizen will return to Russia.”
