Charles was cured and withdrew from his royal duties. According to the palace, the king was “thankful to his medical team” and “remains optimistic about his treatment.” The message also shared why Charles decided to go public with his condition.

According to royal author Robert Jobson, Camilla did not want Charles to go public with his condition.

In April, Charles made his first public appearance since his diagnosis by visiting a cancer center in London with Camilla. She continued to attend many royal functions and events. Charles and Camilla are set to travel to Australia and Samoa next month. Members of the royal family will be attending the meeting of Commonwealth heads of government, which will be held on the island of Polynesia.
