A Pod Love Story
When Tyler entered the scene Love Is Blind pods without expectationhe couldn’t deny being drawn to Ashley right away.
“I like it when you say my name,” he said in the first episode. “Your voice is very lovely.”
The couple quickly bonded over horseback riding, the desire to check “skydiving” off their bucket lists and the importance of both family and religion.
“I like that you’re consistent,” Ashley told the nuclear security officer. “He felt sincere right away. You didn’t show up as someone else, you just showed up, like, ‘Hey, I’m sorry, I’m scared. This is who I am.’

After Ashley surprises Tyler with a famous balloon display for his birthday, he proposes in the pods.

Real Life Awaits
The two build on their emotional connection while exploring the physical when they trade pods for a tropical getaway in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
“I’m glad I was able to meet you at this time in your life,” Tyler laughed while making the pasta. “God’s plan. It’s a good time to meet me. Wow, you would hate me, like, ‘You’re cute, you want to go out with someone?’ Just be prepared, there will be people like, ‘He’s not that good.’ I was not nice to you all. You didn’t give me a reason to be nice.”

Their relationship, however, was put to the test after Tyler suddenly dropped a big revelation – he had fathered multiple children. According to the military veteran, he donated sperm to a friend who could not have biological children.
Ashley felt betrayed that Tyler hadn’t told her the truth until then.
“You’ve been running around talking about how we’re getting married, but you’ve also been running around saying you want to have children now. And it’s like, ‘Wow,’” Ashley said. “How did you like to talk about all that? I can’t wrap my mind around it without considering your future at all?”
He added, “That’s like, what? Three more children? That’s shit. Like, who are these? I feel like I should know that. But I have nothing. You didn’t show me anything. Like, ‘Here are the documents that show I’m not involved.’ I need to know, like everything. “
Tyler also didn’t ask Ashley for “forgiveness,” but rather a chance to move on.

“From the moment I heard your voice, I knew there was something special about you. We took a leap of faith together, and every day since then you have shown me how lucky I am to have you in my life,” she wrote about Instagram. “You bring so much joy, love, and laughter to my world, and I am constantly amazed by your strength, kindness, and warmth that you share with everyone around you.”
Tyler added, “Looking back, it’s amazing to think that we started our story without ever seeing each other’s faces—just words, feelings, and faith. However, that experience taught me what is really important, your heart, your wisdom, and how you make me feel fully seen and loved. Thank you so much for the journey that brought us here. Ashley retweeted Tyler’s note on her Instagram Story before writing her own tribute.
“I just remember my wedding day, it’s the best day! Not in the opposite way,” Ashley he wrote. “Like, I mean it was a balmy 68 degrees, the sun was shining, the decor was amazing and everything went seamlessly. No one has come up to us and said, ‘Man, I didn’t know if this was real or on TV, but this is one of the best weddings I’ve ever been to, I can feel the love. !’ I think some people still think this was for a game. Ashley announced that she and Tyler have separated after one year of marriage.
“After much thought, I want to tell you that Tyler and I have been separated for a few weeks and have now made the difficult decision to end our marriage,” she said in a statement.
