Macklemore tells Seattle crowd to ‘f— America’ at UNRWA concert

Rapper Macklemore told a crowd at a Seattle concert to “F— America,” according to his latest “Palestine Will Live Forever” video shared on X.

“Go ahead, say it. I’m not going to stop you. I’m not going to stop you,” Macklemore said, appearing to address chants from the crowd.

“Yeah, F— America,” said the Grammy-winning singer, to the delight of the crowd. The video was shared on X by reporter Cam Higby.

Macklemore, a 41-year-old rapper born Benjamin Hammond Haggerty in Kent, Washington, had advertised the “Palestine Will Live Forever Festival” on his Facebook page.

He said the proceeds from the event at the Seward Park Amphitheater will go to different groups, including the controversial organization known as United nations Palestine Refugee Agency (UNRWA).

Israeli officials have announced that UNRWA is firmly tied to Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The UN itself announced in August that nine UNRWA staff would be dismissed for possible involvement in the Oct. 7, 2023, a terrorist attack by Hamas in Israel.

Fox News digital reached out to Macklemore’s representatives for comment, but they did not immediately respond.

Macklemore dropped an anti-Israel anthem in May titled “Hind’s Hall,” a reference to the Columbia University building where students lived and renamed it in honor of a 6-year-old Palestinian girl killed in the Israel-Gaza war. The song praised anti-Israel encampments and protests on college campuses across the country and called out President Biden, the police and the music industry.

The rapper this month dropped a second version of the song that now calls out Vice President Kamala Harris, who was nominated for the Democratic presidential nomination when Biden dropped out of the race in July.

Macklemore appears to be threatening that Harris will lose support in the battleground state of Michigan, which has a large Arab and Muslim community in Dearborn, by supporting Israel.

“Hey Kamala, I don’t know if you’re listening but stop sending money and weapons or you won’t win Michigan. We’re not committing and hell no we’re not changing positions because the whole world is turning into Palestine,” the song said.

The music video shared on X shows a clip of Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Mich., if those words play. The song includes an antisemitic song, “From the River to the Sea,” which calls for the elimination of Israel.

Macklemore, who has an estimated net worth of $25 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, also in the second version of the song, “Capitalism kill us, that’s something we can’t access” and sings, “There will be no freedom. At the behest of the Zionists.”

Macklemore has focused on the conflict in the Middle East. Last month, he canceled an upcoming October concert in Dubai about the United Arab Emirates’ role in the “ongoing genocide and humanitarian crisis” in Sudan through its support for militias fighting government forces there, according to the Associated Press.

In an Instagram post at the time, Macklemore said he had a series of people “asking me to cancel this show in solidarity with the people of Sudan and boycott doing business in the UAE for the role they play in the ongoing genocide and humanitarian crisis.”
