What is the Lunar New Year?
The Lunar New Year, also known as the Chinese New Year, marks the beginning of the lunar calendar. Celebrated in many Asian countries, it includes family reunions, feasts and traditions. People exchange red envelopes for luck. The Lunar New Year symbolizes renewal, and the zodiac animal changes every year.
Why is 2025 the Year of the Snake?
The year 2025 is the year of the Snake in the Chinese zodiac. The zodiac follows a 12-year cycle with each year represented by a different animal. Legend has it that the order was decided by race.
The snake in the Chinese zodiac is special because it represents wisdom, change, and mystery. People born in the Year of the Snake are intelligent, thoughtful, and often very good at solving problems.
