20 CoA managers complete the senior management development program

The Commission on Audit (CoA) held its Senior Executive Development Program (SEDP) graduation ceremony for 20 CoA executives who successfully completed the SEDP, including the defense of their policy papers. A simple graduation ceremony was held at the CoA Sports and Cultural Center on Dec. 17, 2024.
SEDP aims to continuously develop talented and competitive leaders. According to CoA Resolution No. 2002-009, the plan is authorized to ensure the continuous development and formation of senior managers of the CoA to provide competent supervision and leadership thereby ensuring the honest and reliable work of the Commission.
CoA Chairman Gamaliel A. Cordoba led the CoA officials in honoring the SEDP graduates, noting that the event is the culmination of the students’ dedication, perseverance and unwavering desire to grow.
“As you move forward, always remember that leadership is not a one-way journey. It is strengthened by the cooperation, inclusion and shared wisdom of those around you. Let us continue to respect the principles of this Commission – striving for transparency, accountability, and good governance in the service of the nation. And to those who spoke our services, today’s celebration shows the lasting impact of your commitment to raising tomorrow’s leaders,” said Chairman Cordoba.
On the other hand, Commissioner Roland Café Pondoc encouraged SEDP graduates to embrace leadership defined not by power or prestige, but by integrity, purpose, and commitment to serving the Filipino people.
“As graduates of this program, the knowledge and skills you have gained are important, but it is your unwavering principles and dedication to doing what is right, however difficult or unpleasant, that will shape your legacy. As you move forward, may your actions inspire others and leave a meaningful impact, because true success lies in uplifting others and working with respect, love, and love for our nation,” said Commissioner Mpondoc.

Noor of CoA Regional Office XI, OIC – Assistant Director Atty. Eumaida C. Paala-Tiongson of NGS Cluster 7 — Public Works, Transportation and Energy, Auditor Janet L. Pito of CoA Regional Office XI, Auditor Aubrey L. Rico of NGS Cluster 4 Defense and Security , Atty. Melisa L. San Miguel-Saluñga of NGS Cluster 7 — Public Works, Transport and Energy Audit Division, and Auditor Janah P. Tapangan of CoA Regional Office No. XIII.
CoA Assistant Commissioner Lito Q. Martin of the Department of Professional Development and Institutional Development presented the graduates who were successfully certified by Chairman Cordoba.
Earlier, the Commission also held a ceremony to honor its resource persons to recognize the contributions of CoA officials and staff, as well as other persons who have greatly supported the implementation of interventions and capacity building activities of CoA. About 185 CoA officers and staff working as resource persons were honoured.
Director Roberto D. Mabagos, Jr. read the inspiring message of Commissioner Mario G. Lipana who emphasized the importance of sharing expertise and knowledge to open up new ideas needed in public work and to encourage work with dedication and integrity.
The CoA is committed to expanding its pool of resource persons to ensure the continued effective and efficient delivery of its learning and development programs that are critical to the professional development of CoA staff and other government agencies.
